Amidst the electrifying buzz of the upcoming Indian Premier League, topmost Royalties from England have secured a section for them to talk through. As part of the India and Bhutan tour, the royal couple-Prince William and Kate Middleton would be starting first with a visit to the cricket capital of India, Mumbai.

About the Royal’s Indian itinerary, the British High Commission stated to Business Standard as, “While in India they will experience the four passions which unite the country – cricket, Bollywood, politics and family.”

Cricket being a highlighting part of the Indian tour itinerary, the Duke and Dutchess would be gracing the sport’s fraternity with their presence at the Oval Maidan, Mumbai for a charity match between India’s Landline, Doorstep and Magic Bus on 10th April 2016.

More interesting would be their participation in the charity match, which is seen as a mega boost to promote the Indian Premier League globally. An instance of this kind happened in the ICC Cricket World Cup of 2015 also, when the royal couple for the first time became a part of the game, though just as a spectator.
