YUVRAJ INJURY IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR SRH
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out for a period of two weeks in the upcoming VIVO IPL T20 2016 with an ankle injury.
The Orange Army are cautious about Yuvraj’s unavailability due to the injury he picked up against Australia during the recently concluded ICC World Twenty20 2016 and will hope for his speedy recovery. SRH bought the swashbuckling Indian allrounder for a sum of Rupees seven crore in the 2016 IPL Players’ Auction.
Yuvraj has been hitting the gym lately to get in shape before the start of this year’s cricketing extravaganza. His ankle injury has not yet healed completely for which he is set to miss the matches in the opening weeks of the Indian Premier League.
“It won’t be proper to say anything at this stage as we don’t have any confirmation about Yuvraj. We are hoping to have a clear picture by tomorrow afternoon. We are hopeful that he will be with us from the first game itself,” Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor VVS Laxman told TOI.
JOEL PARIS RULED OUT OF IPL 9
Delhi Daredevils seamer Joel Paris has been ruled out of the upcoming VIVO IPL T20 2016 after he withdrew from the cricketing extravaganza due to a shin injury. The 23-year-old Aussie pacer was bought by DD for a sum of Rupees 30 lakh in the 2016 IPL Players’ Auction.
MALINGA’S AVAILABILITY FOR MI IS UNCERTAIN
Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga’s availability for the upcoming VIVO IPL T20 2016 is uncertain. The 32-year-old is yet to join the Mumbai Indians camp and his lack of match fitness has led to speculations stating that the pacer is injured and is failing to get in shape to take part in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians have remained silent about his situation, and are rumoured to be concerned ahead of their title defence.
