Indian Premier League outfit Kolkata Knight Riders are serious title contenders in the upcoming cricketing extravaganza. Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla owned KKR have won the IPL twice in 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.
There is one cricketer who KKR would be grateful to, for his immense contribution with his uncanny bowling action which resulted in 74 wickets in 55 matches over four seasons, operating at a healthy economy rate of 6.00. He is none other than Windies spinner Sunil Narine.
The 27-year-old Trinidadian cricketer has been nothing short of sensation ever since he joined the Kolkata based Eden Gardens outfit. His magical performance has propelled the Knight Riders to emerge victorious in the IPL twice which in turn has helped him earn worldwide adulation.
Narine has always managed to provide solutions to KKR’s problems. KKR team, management and fans simply adore the Windies cricketer because they are well aware of his influence in the Indian Premier League. Suspensions and bans from ICC and considerable difficulties with the West Indies Cricket Board have restricted him from making many International appearances for the Caribbeans but it has not stopped him from becoming the darling of the ‘City of Joy’.
