Another week, another dismal performance from Championship-bound Aston Villa.
They parted company with Remi Garde in midweek and handed Eric Black the thankless task of trying to instil some confidence and fighting spirit. On this evidence, the end of the season can’t come quickly enough for the players and their long-suffering fans.
Chelsea put them to the sword as they secured a 4-0 victory. If truth be told, the visitors never had to get out of third gear in a one-sided contest.

Villa are 12 points adrift of safety and it’s a matter of when, not if, their relegation to the second tier is confirmed.
And you know it’s bad when fans of other clubs start feeling sorry for you.
Actually got to the point where I feel sorry for those villa fans having to watch that shower of shit

Feel sorry for any villa fans. Safc have been there before 10 years ago. Villa simply embarrassing this season

It was difficult to find any positives in Villa’s display.
Honestly think this Aston Villa team is the worst side in Premier League history, no fight whatsoever. #ASTCHE

Villa are embarrassingly poor. Being a bad player you can forgive but to have no effort, no fight, no desire is unforgivable. #VillavChelsea

And as Villa fans held up placards in the 74th minute, one tweet summed up the feelings of many.
"Proud history. What future?" "No fight. No pride. No effort. No hope." pic.twitter.com/5AZYUpObEk

Former player Stan Collymore wasn’t too impressed either.
All we need now is Eric Black to moony the Holte and the day is complete.

Oh dear. It’s not looking good.
