Ratchanok Intanon vs. Li Xuerui – India Open – Final

Thai shuttler Ratchanok Intanon clinched the women’s singles title of the 2016 India Open at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi on 3rd April, 2016.

The 21-year-old defeated Olympic champion Li Xuerui of China in straight sets, winning by 21-17, 21-18. The fixture lasted 42 minutes.This was Intanon’s second India Open title, having also won back in 2013.

Ratchanok Intanon is currently ranked fifth in the BWF world rankings.

Kento Momota vs. Viktor Axelsen – India Open – Final

Japanese badminton ace Kento Momota bagged the men’s singles title of the 2016 India Open at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi on 3rd April, 2016.

The 21-year-old defeated Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in straight sets, winning by 21-15, 21-18. The fixture lasted 44 minutes. Momota won his fourth Superseries title with this victory.

Kento Momota is presently ranked fourth in the BWF world rankings.
