AUSTRALIAN OPEN MEN’s DOUBLES Semi-Final

Adrian Mannarino (FRA) & Lucas Pouille (FRA) vs Jamie Murray (GBR) [7] & Bruno Soares (BRA) [7] Jamie Murray’s run of good form continues as the British doubles specialist reached his third consecutive Grand Slam semi-final at the Australlian Open. Murray and Brazilian partner Bruno Soares fought back from a set down to beat South Africa’s Raven Klaasen and the USA’s Rajeev Ram. The German-Brazilian have been playing together for a short time but are enjoying instant success. Their partnership may go a long way as they have already claimed a title in Sydney a couple of weeks ago. They are pitted against an unseeded French pair of Adrian Mannarino & Lucas Pouille. Although the French duo have made it to the last four they really need to raise their bar high if they desire a result in their favour.

Daniel Nestor (CAN) & Radek Stepanek (CZE) vs Pablo Cuevas (URU) [16] & Marcel Granollers (ESP) [16] We are poised for an interesting match between these two teams. Though the Czech-Canadian duo are unseeded, their chemistry has gotten them to the last 4. On the other hand the 16th seeded duo of Pablo Cuevas (URU) & Marcel Granollers (ESP) are really putting their everything and have had a smooth sail so far. But, a semi-final match doesn’t provide with much options but to be at your best and commit lesser errors than your opponents. Both teams would need to put in more than what they have bought to the table so far to go any further!
