Amit Mishra single handedly restricted Kings XI Punjab to 111 by bowling a magnificent spell of 3-0-11-4. The leggie was in a very good form as he ripped apart Kings top order.
No batsman was able to pick his variations and they were so good that even the three M’s of Kings XI Punjab namely Maxwell, Marsh and Miller eventually gave their wicket.
But the biggest surprise was that he was not allowed to bowl his full overs quota even after being the best bowler for Delhi which ultimately denied him the chance of picking a fiver.
Today Mishra was playing his 100th IPL match. He is currently the second highest wicket taker in the history of IPL and holds the record for most stump dismissals. The Delhi born spinner is now currently holding the record for taking most wickets in the 100th match.
Mishra’s performance shows that leg spinners dominate this format. Even the ones who give flight to the ball and bowl with an aggressive approach.
