India Open: China's Li Xuerui defeats Saina Nehwal in the semi-finals


Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal crashed out of the India Open World Badminton Super Series after being beaten by Chinese shuttler Li Xuerui.

The 26-year-old bowed out of the Yonex India Open in the semi-finals after losing 22-10, 17-21, 21-19 to Li Xuerui who currently ranks as the World No. 2 in the BWF rankings, at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi on 2nd April, 2016.

Xuerui who is also the reigning Olympics champion took an hour and 12 minutes to progress to the competition’s final.
