Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the 3rd test match against New Zeland due to a back strain.
The pacer impressive comeback in the second test at Kolkata picking up a five-wicket haul in the first innings. His impressive bowling performance helped India take a huge lead in the first innings and eventually win the match, thereby taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar came in for Umesh Yadav who had a poor outing in the first Test. Mumbai Pacer Shradul Thakur has been called up as the replacement.
Thakur was a part of the India team on the West Indies tour and had just returned from the India ‘A’ tour to Australia, where he claimed 11 wickets in three matches.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the third casualty for India after openers KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan were ruled out due to injuries.
The third test against New Zeland will be played in Indore and starts on the 8th October.
