New Zealand hope to finish the group stages unbeaten as Bangladesh hope to salvage some pride

New Zealand have already qualified for the semi finals having won three games in the group stages. Bangladesh find themselves in a bit of a situation, having entered the Super 10 stages in style and performed well at the Asia Cup, their campaign at the WT20 has been disappointing.

The preparation

Bangladesh enter this game after a heartbreaking loss against India which saw them give away three wickets in the last over of the game and lose the game by a single run. Mashrafe Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan will take most of the bowling load as Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah take care of the batsman duties.

New Zealand on the other hand are in a form of their lives. Reading the pitch conditions well and leaving out pacers Trent Boult and Tim Southee resulted in a blessing as the spinners Santner and Ish Sodhi have been their main trump cards. Martin Guptill and Corey Anderson will hope to continue their good form with the bat. In a match that is pretty much a dead rubber, there is still lots to play for.

While New Zealand will see this as a practice game to better the areas and few problems, Bangladesh will see this game a final chance of salvaging some pride and soften the wounds from the India game.
