The Arab T20 league of retired cricket stars – Masters Champions League faced a major setback on Tuesday when Libra Legends’ skipper Sourav Ganguly skipped the press conference due to a back injury.

Having suffered a back injury recently, Ganguly will be missing a starting few games of MCL. Subsequently, fans will miss him in the much-anticipated opening match between Libra Legends and Virender Sehwag-led Gemini Arabians.

Previously, Sehwag had expressed his excitement over this classic clash against Ganguly, on twitter.

When asked about Ganguly’s speculation earlier in the press conference on Tuesday, MCL chairman Zafar Shah responded “I don’t know what is the situation right now,”.

“I just heard he is injured. I haven’t spoken to Libra Legends yet but he will be there for the opening match, so no need to worry about it,” he assured the return of Dada on field soon, in the end.
