In the 26th game-week of the French league, leaders Paris Saint Germain host fifteenth placed Lille. Contrasting seasons for both clubs, PSG have lost only one game in all competitions in the 2015-16 season whereas Lille are only 3 points from safety. Playing at the Parc des Princes, PSG would be looking to extend their winning run to 13 games. They are on the cusp of yet another league title, with a mammoth 24 point gap between them and 2nd place Monaco.

PSG’s success can be attributed to their attackline trio – Ibrahimovich, Cavani and Man Utd flop, Angel Di Maria. 54 goals among the trio have seen PSG sail through the league. Lille, on the other hand, has struggled this season and with only 6 wins in the 25 games played, They are on the borderline of being relegated. In other competitions or rather competition, Lille has surprisingly fared well. Having reached the finals of the Coupe de la Ligue final, they will be facing PSG in the final in April.

The form guide for both clubs doesn’t even come close. No surprises here, PSG have won all 5 of their last 5 league games. Lille, have managed to win only 1 out of their last 5 losing and drawing two each. A fun fact, Lille fans might want to look away now, PSG’s top scorer (Zlatan Ibrahimovich) has scored more than the entire Lille team combined this season.

Their last 5 meetings have seen PSG victorious on 4 occasions and the points being shared in one game. Not many reasons for Lille fans to be very optimistic, the home team are on a roll and look an unstoppable force. Can Lille enjoy an unlikely win away from home or will it be another cakewalk for Zlatan and Co.?
