England cricketer James Taylor forced to call it quit due to critical heart condition

Content

One of the prolific English talents who on the verge of making it big in the international circuit has failed himself for good. Failure here is not in the context of his prolific batting potentials, but a deteriorating health condition that has put a ban on his cricket career.

Following the diagnosis of a viral infection that cost Taylor to withdraw from the last week’s county cricket match between Nottingham and Cambridge MCCU, the middle order batsman has lately been declared of suffering from a critical heart condition.

Though quite new in the cricket scenario, James Taylor has been praised for emerging out big in a short span of time and delivering terrific knocks, particularly in the ODI format. Owing to which, the medical emergency of this kind has shook the entire English cricket fraternity.

On this, Andrew Strauss, director of the English team was quoted as saying, “It is both shocking and saddening to hear that James’ career has been cut short in such a sudden and unexpected manner. Throughout his career, he has constantly impressed with his determination to make the absolute most of his ability, and it is immensely cruel that such a hard working player will be unable to fulfil his great potential in the international arena. The ECB will work closely with Nottinghamshire and together we will do everything possible to help James through this difficult period, and aid him in his recovery.”
