India’s all-time favourite commentator, Harsha Bhogle has been debarred by the Indian cricket high command (BCCI) from its duties for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The decision to remove Bhogle from the commentary box of IPL 9 is considered as a big surprise as he had been the voice for the coveted tournament since its debut season of 2008.

Harsha, who has been trending on social media lately following his alleged involvement in a dispute with the Vidarbha Cricket Association officials during a T20 match between India and New Zealand, is believed to have been sacked for this reason.

However, the BCCI cited this issue as a complete case of anonymity. In the report of the Indian Express, the officials were quoted as saying, “When deciding the commentators, we take feedback from everyone. We monitor social media reactions on commentators, and also take inputs from players.”

This is how Harsha’s fans stormed the social media following his removal

Whatever be the case, the commentator has still been kept under dark about the reason for his contract termination.
