The Champions League semifinal draw is out, and guess what, it's the clash of the familiar foes again: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid. The two teams will meet for the 4th straight year in Champions League, with the last encounter coming in the semi-finals of 2016/17 competition. Real Madrid have had the better of their city rivals in recent years, and Atletico would be desperate to change the record. Too much excitement.
Dear God, can Atletico just beat Real Madrid in the Semifinals of the UCL and eliminate them. Please Lord ðŸ™ðŸ½ pic.twitter.com/6EWx3rJ5KA

Interestingly, many Atletico fans wanted two games with Real Madrid and not just one… wonderful semifinal

In the other semifinal, underdogs Monaco would face the old lady Juventus. Monaco have been in stupendous goal scoring form this year, with teenager Kylian Mbappe leading the way. But can they breach a defence which even the famed trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez could not? Juventus on the other hand are the strongest contenders for theChampions League trophy this season. Their defence is imperious, and they have brilliant forwards like Higuain and Dybala. They would also be high on confidence after beating Barcelona in the quarter final. Surely the Old Lady would go into the clash as favourites. Monaco and Juventus have previously met in the UCL semi-finals, the Bianconeri winning 6-4 in 1997/98.
A fantastic draw in the Champions League. Will be fascinating to see Mbappe up against a truly elite defence.
