Pakistan and West Indies fail to qualify directly for the 2019 ICC World Cup

As per the ICC ODI team rankings declared on Wednesday, Pakistan and West Indies were at 8th and 9th position respectively. This means both the team have failed to qualify directly for the 2019 ICC World Cup.

 

In the recently concluded Pakistan-West Indies three-match ODI series, Pakistan beat West Indies 2-1. 

 

 

This means seventh position Bangladesh have directly qualified for the World Cup.

However, both West Indies and Pakistan will get another shot at qualifying for the 2019 Wold Cup, if they do well in the 10-team ICC world Cup Qualifiers, next year.

Till now South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India, England, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are the seven countries to have qualified for the 2019 World Cup.
