Romelu Lukaku was supposed to be the man to make the headlines and inflict further misery on Arsene Wenger this weekend.
The prolific striker was supposed to be everything Arsenal needed, i.e. a striker that actually scores goals, but he was overshadowed by the most unlikely player on the pitch.
Step forward Alex Iwobi, who Arsenal fans will have you believe is the next big thing after his man-of-the-match performance in his full debut, which included his first goal for the club.
Alex Iwobi has scored more goals in the premier league this season than Eden Hazard.
But Hazard is better than Ronaldo.

Alex Iwobi is what Manchester United fans pretend Martial is.

Just as I seemed to like Iwobi and his game, I've seen a gooner compare him and Welbeck to Yorke and Cole. Arsenal deserve failure. Simple.

Iwobi and Iheanacho – looks like Nigeria won't be short of goals for the next decade or so

We hope these posts were tongue-in-cheek but you just never know with some fans…
Hey Messi forget Ronaldo you have a new challenger to you position at the top of football – ALEX IWOBI #EFCvAFC

After playing against Barcelona during the week, Iwobi certainly has made a good impression on the Gooner fraternity and he neatly slotted between Joel Robles’ legs to double the lead after Danny Welbeck’s opener.
His performance raised questions over the futures of two former favourites…

The force is certainly strong with this one…

Of course it wouldn’t be an Arsenal game without #WengerOut appearing somewhere on the internet.
Fair play to those people believing in #wengerout but banners at the game are unnecessary and divisive. Particularly when we've just won
